You are welcome

Congratulations to you our graduates. This occasion is organized in your honour. I am using this medium to express my unreserved gratitude and appreciation to you all for taking your time to witness this occasion which is the 5th convocation ceremony of our university.

I also like to express my apology to take you away from your work engagements.  We know, you are already devoted to career and professional lives, your presence here is a sacrifice and commitment to your alma-mater - ESPAM-FORMATION UNIVERSITY.

My special welcome message also goes to all our awardees for accepting to associate with us and to become our ambassadors around the world. We are very proud to have you here and especially for your exceptional qualities and achievements in your career. I commend, you and your award of honour ,is meritorious and well deserved. We hope that you will use your fame to illuminate Espam-Formation University to global limelight and recognition.

To you again my most cherished graduates, I salute your courage to have passed through the rigours of academic life for four academic sessions. You also passed through difficult financial and emotional hurdles in pursuit of the golden fleece (knowledge). Most of you, we understand are already on the field of your professional career in different private and public establishments in Nigeria, in Benin  and around the world.

Today, I am glad that we are all gathered to celebrate your success and to officially acknowledge your Bachelor’s degree in various disciplines offered by our university.

The university has given you the training needed to help you confront the problems of our present world. It has taught you the pursuit of excellence through various leadership trainings and seminars. We are therefore confident that you will do Espam-Formation University proud by being an epitome of greatness and a great beacon light of hope to other students. The award of first degree that you are being decorated with today places more responsibility on you. The responsibility not to fail in all your endeavour and that you should always be a goal-getter and an ardent ambassador of Espam-Formation University.

Anytime I am to deliver my address on convocation like this, I always feel highly fulfilled on your triumphs. I also feel a sense of nostalgia that we are letting out again useful members of the university community.

My dear graduates, education is a lifelong heritage that liberates the mind from the stronghold of ignorance and lineage poverty. I charge you to take advantage of your knowledge and skill to put an end to ignorance and perpetual poverty.  

Dear graduates, parents and all those present at this ceremony today, my dreams and aspirations are yet to be fully realised because my main vision for establishing Espam-Formation University is to construct a super-structure that will produce world class graduates who will fit into any system anywhere in the world. I also intend to build a cross cultural university where unity and excellence will be achieved in diversity. Our university is already bilingual where the English Language and French, the two global languages are used simultaneously as the languages of instruction in our lecture rooms. In no distant time we shall be actualising one of our founding dreams when we relocate to our permanent site to accommodate more faculties and departments and a serene campus environment fit for learning.             

Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, I again like to express my profound gratitude to parents and guardians for entrusting into our hands the future and destiny of their children. We will do our best to meet up their expectations.

Nous sommes fiers de faire cette cérémonie qui est la consécration de multiples efforts de toute  la communauté estudiantine. Nous sommes fiers de vous, soyez des exemples vivants pour vos cadets.   Que la flamme d’ESPAM FORMATION brille à jamais de génération en génération.
